Our Story
I’m a young African American woman from Los Angeles, California — the city where I met Dell. Born and raised here, Dell always dreamed of driving big rigs. He chased that dream across America, living free on the open road, doing what he loved.
Then life took an unexpected turn.
On his way to work one day, Dell was hit by a big rig — the very thing he loved nearly took everything from him. The accident led to the amputation of his right leg. What followed was the hardest fight of his life — physical, emotional, and mental.
But Dell didn’t give up.
Watching him rise through unimaginable pain, I was moved to create something bigger than both of us — a brand born from his strength, resilience, and determination. That’s how Amputee Wear was born. And that’s how #NewNorm came to life.
